    This Small Business Needs Assessment Study has involved deep community engagement with hard-to-reach populations in Chelsea, a mostly Latino and immigrant community. The Gastón Institute was responsible for leading the study’s qualitative research and community engagement activities with Spanish-speaking and immigrant business owners in Chelsea.

    Based on CDC guidelines the LEI Worcester is running a bilingual social media campaign on Nutrition, Healthy movement, and breastfeeding. based on the data gathered the community in Worcester needs to have access to this information from a trustworthy source.

  • LEI Health Ambassadors Team hits a monumental milestone.

    100.000 people. 100.000 PPE, 100.000 Educational Resources at testing sites, vaccination sites, and outreach sites throughout the City of Worcester. Our very own LEI Health Ambassadors Team has hit such a monumental milestone.
Since June 2020, the Health Ambassadors have been out protecting the lives of thousands of Worcester residents. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work and preservation throughout this global pandemic.

  • Latinx and Hispanic Addiction and Mental Health Support.

    Though Latinx people experience substance abuse at a lower rate than the population average, there are significant differences in the rate of treatment-seeking individuals when compared to other ethnicities.   • Financial Literacy in the Latinx Community

    The Latinx community faces many economic roadblocks. The community has less wealth, fewer opportunities for upward momentum and was hit harder by COVID-19 than white Americans. While many of these issues cannot be fully addressed without systemic and economic changes, financial literacy can help Hispanic Americans combat some of these problems.
